SLOTTING & BT CUT MACHINES
SLOTS, NOTCHES & SELF TAPPING POINTS
Two dedicated machines that complete the fastener after forming and threading. The slotting machine cuts the driver slot into screw heads, and the BT cut machine forms the thread cutting notch at the screw point, letting self tapping (Type BT) screws cut their own mating thread.

THE PROCESS
HOW IT WORKS
Bowl Feed
Blanks are fed from a vibratory bowl onto a rotating clamping dial.
Clamp & Index
Each part is clamped on the dial and indexed past the cutter.
Rotary Cut
The cutter and workpiece rotate together to form the slot or notch.
Slot or Notch
Slotting cuts the driver slot in the head; BT cut grooves the screw point.
Eject
Finished fasteners are ejected and the cycle repeats.
